Landulph Climate Group

For the benefit of all future generations, the group aims to engage with all members of the community to reduce the impact of climate change in line with Landulph Parish Council’s Climate Change Statement of Intent.

Landulph Parish Council supports Cornwall Council’s initiative to declare a joint Climate and Ecological Emergency. The commitment is to become carbon neutral by 2030 and to protect, conserve and grow Cornwall’s eco-systems to ensure a fully sustainable low carbon future for Cornwall. The Parish Council has set up a Working Group made up of parish councillors and parishioners to encourage individuals to make changes to reduce their impact on the environment.

In 2020, Landulph Parish Council published its first Climate Change Statement of Intent; this has been updated to include nature recovery in response to Cornwall Council’s initiative to declare an Ecological Emergency.  See below for the latest version of the Statement of Intent.

The working group consists of two councillors: Clare Tagg and Martin Worth and members of the community; a link to the terms of reference is given below.  The working group meets when necessary and produces a report to the Parish Council which contains recommendations and costs for decision by the Council. Links to the reports are given below.
