Landulph Orchard Green
Visiting Landulph Orchard Green
The two fields can be visited at any time; the location of the fields are:
- Duke Orchard W3W: ///bathtubs.responses.chain
- Duchess Green W3W: ///truffles.gather.regularly
Please respect these wild spaces – they are for nature and people to enjoy and flourish. Please note that at present these fields are part of a working farm and so dogs are not allowed but we are are working towards a trial of dogs on leads in Duke Orchard (when the boundary to the field is secured).
Tell us about what you see in Duke Orchard or Duchess Green and also if there are things that would have made your visit better or things we need to attend to. You can email us at log@landulphparishcouncil.gov.uk, speak to one of the Working Group or write in one of the notebooks in the field shelters in Duchess Green or toilet in Duke Orchard.
Becoming a volunteer for Landulph Orchard Green
The whole idea of Landulph Orchard Green (LOG) is that it will be developed by the community for the community. A Working Group of Landulph Parish Council looks after the day to day development of LOG, reporting to the Parish Council.
There is a group of volunteers who are helping with the development of LOG; this means doing everything from planting trees to making tea. Phillida Jermain keeps a list of the volunteers and will email when there are jobs that need doing.
How to volunteer
If you are interested in giving a helping hand, no matter how infrequently then all you need to do is agree to the following points:
- You have read and understood the Parish Council’s safeguarding policy
- You work as a LOG volunteer at your own risk
- You have read and agree to the Volunteer Health and Safety Practices
- You will make sure there is a first aid kit (normally kept in the shed by Duke Orchard and in tool shed in Duchess Green) and mobile phone when working on site
- Please use your own tools
- Please check what is needed to be done at the time (and what is not) with one of the members of the Working Group
- You agree to your details being stored on a list of LOG Volunteers which may be shared with other members of the LOG Working Group
- You agree that any photos of you that are taken in either orchard can be used on our website or other publications about the orchard.
Please email your acceptance of the above seven points to Phillidajermain@hotmail.com
